Fight for Gold and Glory

“Check your weapons and polish your armor, lads! Our next match is against the Spider Sovereigns, and it’s time we showed those dark elves we’re the real masters of the underground!”
-Torvek Ironbrow, Dwarf Sarge

“We will crush these weaklings as we will one day crush this so-called emperor. Remember that these arena battels are only the first step in our masters’ plan. And do not forget, that if you fail in this fight, you will answer to me.”
-Lord Korcazz, Zanemarati Forgotten Lord

Glorious Carnage

D12 Fantasy is a game of savage gladiatorial combat in a dark fantasy world. Based on the easy-to-learn D12 System, it uses the same 3-inch square grid, card-based initiative, and ongoing campaign system from previous games.

Besides its fantasy aesthetic, D12 Fantasy differs from its predecessors by adding new rules and mechanics to expand players’ options. The biggest addition is the ability for players to choose the composition of their squads. Players start by choosing one of the four available factions (Dwarves, Dark Elves, Dragon People, and Zanemarati), each with unique strengths and weaknesses, then assemble their squad from a selection of different units. A range of mercenaries are also available to further differentiate one squad from the next. In addition to squad construction, D12 Fantasy also adds an arsenal of spells, magic items, and potions that characters can use to gain temporary advantages in battle.

Each of the two D12 Fantasy books contain all the basic rules for play, as well as rules and Unit Record Sheets for two different factions. Besides your choice of rulebook, you'll need one squad of miniatures per player, some d12s, a card deck, a play area marked in a 3-inch grid, and some terrain.

The drums are beating and the crowd is roaring. It’s time to make your ancestors proud!
