Origins
2003
We had 12 players
for our first Big Tournament, at Origins 2003. The game was played
over 8 hours on Saturday, with three tables of 4. Initial placement
was totally random. The tournament was played in 4 1.5 hour games,
with scores and upgrades being tallied after each game. For each
new game, the players were seeded with other players of similar
strength, based on the strength of their Gladiator Squads.
Congratulations
to Kyle Mathis, this year's winner of our Origins IG Tournament!
Kyle took home our custom trophy as well as a Red Shirt Games Periscope.
Below are shown the scores for the top half of the tournament. As
you can see, the scoring was pretty close at that level.

Gen
Con 2003
We had 9 players
for our Second Big Tournament, at Gen Con 2003. The game was played
over 8 hours on Saturday, with three tables of 3. Initial placement
was totally random. The tournament was played in 4 1.5 hour games,
with scores and upgrades being tallied after each game. For each
new game, the players were seeded with other players of similar
strength, based on the strength of their Gladiator Squads.
Congratulations
to Michael Ayars, this year's winner of our Gen Con IG Tournament!
Below are shown the scores for the top half of the tournament. You'll
note that Michael, who was voted "most cool under fire"
by the staff of RSG, and "most likely to devour live puppies"
by the rest of the tourney players, won by a handy margin. You'll
also note he came in second in the Origins tournament, so it wasn't
a fluke. Michael, we hope to see you next year!
